Why Hopseed Hedges?
Native to the Americas, The drought friendly Purple Hopseed Bush is a fast grower with dramatic colorful foliage. Excellent as a privacy screen or as a foundation plant at the back of the border. The unique bronze purple leaves create beautiful contrast with lighter colored plants and flowers. Papery seed pods are attractive and pink in color. Drought tolerant once established but will grow fastest with moderate water. Excellent in urban and low fire risk environments, but not recommended for the firewise landscape.
